I do believe Ninty will right all their wrongs with the next generation. It's just taken awhile for them to get there. We'll have to wait and see, but don't count them out yet.

I've been hoping for the same thing since N64. And that was almost 20 years ago. And now I'm a grown ass man, still waiting for them to get it right. The Wii was a big commercial success, but it was not aimed towards me. And when Nintendo say that they want to "surprise gamers" with the NX, I can only think "Please, no more surprises, Nintendo.."

How did the Wii disappoint you? To me, it had some of the best games. for a Nintendo system Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, Elebits, Dewy's Adventure, Little King's Story, Cooking Mama, Trauma Center, Wii Sports, Lost in Shadow, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandora's Tower, Fragile Dreams, Endless Ocean, Deadly Creatures, Mushroom Men, World of Goo, Klonoa, Madworld, No More Heroes, Marble Mania, Wario LAnd, Smash Bros. Brawl, Zak and Wiki, and so many more.

was the Wii really a disappointment

Yes. to some people which is why i truly believe that that disappointment is also extending to the woes of the WIi U. Think about it, if you buy a product that you dont end up liking you are far less likely to want to buy the next product. I mean Wii U might not even hit 20mil from a 100mil console?

For me most of those games you listed are overrated. Except Galaxy. the first party games for the most part had some of the worst iterations. 3rd party was a joke and the system itself was horribly behind the times in just about every aspect and the motion itself wasnt evne that good.
