Like the game is already being delayed to 2016 no matter what. Will the game be sweeter/better for you knowing that it's sales potential is crippled and there are probably 2-3 million people who won't get to play the game? All you guys complaining about this know damn well you're going to buy an NX at some point anyway, let the NX people enjoy the game too. Their $50 is not worth any less than yours. Again I just think this whole reasoning is childish and petty, "they promised me this game, and I don't want to share it with anyone!". Gimme a break. Wii U is selling like steamed crap, even the GameCube was selling far better, so it being up YoY over a pathetic baseline is hardly anything to throw a party over. That's likely saying 350 pound guy is now only 347 pounds after a full year of dieting. I mean yeah it's an improvement, but lets not get it twisted -- dude is still fat as fuck. If you are true Nintendo fan IMO, you will recoginize that for NINTENDO'S sake having the game sell maybe as much as 3x more and having a sure fire killer app for the NX launch while still delivering the same game to Wii U owners is also what's best for Nintendo's business and for Zelda as a franchise too. I don't know if you noticed, but the Zelda series isn't exactly selling like COD or GTA these days either. Nintendo must keep the franchise relevant by introducing it to new gamers, not just appeasing one little group of die-in-the-wool Nintendo fans on the Wii U. Anything Nintendo can do to expand the brand at this point is again a benefit, not the catastrophe you guys try to paint it as. |
You should stop editing stuff in after you have hit submit... I sometimes edit my stuff too but it is usually for words that I have mispelled or I usually say Edit: if it is what you are doing
I am a Nintendo fan but unlike you, I know how hardware works, how software works and how the game transition works and that is how I base my statements. While you seem to base ur statements based on what other companies are doing that are in completely different situtions than in Nintendo and make up stuff that Iwata said which isn't even there... And not to mention that your ability to prove my statements wrong is laughable at best because you don't seem to do so
And yes, Nintendo must introduce its franchises to new gamers but they also need to keep their old gamers in case the shit hits the fan while not ruining their business at the sametime... The things that you suggest sends them one way ticket to business hell because they will lose an entire market which is their console market and they will also lose the market confidence which has also been proven by Sega when they tried to do similar things. It is always interesting to me that people that understand things the least seems to always come with the worst ideas... I wonder if there is a connection
Edit: Now that I think about it, Nintendo making more Nintendo games is a Nintendo fan's wet dream... That won't bring in new gamers.. That will just bring in more Nintendo fans...
