Glorious? That's a bit over the top lol. What would of been glorious is if Sony launched the PS3 well from the start and brought out more software that made sales even stronger. Nothing glorious over trying to bring sales up after a dull launch, but yes it was good of Sony and good for them for having a successful console.
Moving to the actual subject, Nintendo won't leave the Wii U to die. The Wii U will live it's life just as long as their other consoles or at least close. I do think the Wii U will probably never reach sales that Nintendo want though which is a shame. At the end of the day Nintendo's still supporting it and developing games for the console which is the complete opposite of what Sony are doing with the Vita. As somebody who owns a Wii U, at least I feel somewhat satisfied with it. Still E3 so anything could happen really. A Metroid game would definitely make up for the Zelda delay for me,
