The WiiU has secondary CPUs for OS etc. If the NX will also have this nothing stops Nintendo from using WiiU/3DS CPUs for the OS stuff and then have a 3DS/WiiU mode where the secondary CPUs act as a 3DS/WiiU CPU instead of dealing with the OS only.
