Frankly, I don't think they could have handled the WiiU any worse than they did, short of not paying for Bayonata 2's development.

Metroid or Kid Icarus could be in development (F-Zero isn't nearly as likely) so I guess we'll see. There are some unannounced Wii U games releasing this year.

But yeah, they handled it awfully. Like, terribad. They really should've just waited an additional year or two to get third parties on board and make their system more powerful. That also would've left them with games like Super Mario 3D World and Pikmin 3 as launch titles, which would've been so much better. I really think the Wii could've held down the fort until the Wii U launched, considering it wasn't selling all that bad even in 2011.

Ah well, hindsight is 20/20. Nintendo knows they fucked up, so hopefully they just don't make the same mistakes next gen.
