Sony lost TONS of money on the PS3. You could argue that it may have t the way Nintendo is built, they couldn't have done it. They're not an electronics company, they only make games, and they have a history of basically always making money. They couldn't endure years of the kinds of losses Sony took on the PS3.

I'm not arguing they did a good job with the Wii U, but they couldn't have done what Sony did.

At one point during the Wii gen, they were making $5 billion a year. I don't expect them to bleed money, just reinvest a decent portion of their profits.

$5 billion a year?! Are you sure? Btw Nintendo's profits and losses are transparent. But Sony's are not. They just shuffle the profits and losses from other divisions just to make the PS division look rosier than it should be.
