Nintendo carries all the risks in the outlined scenario. If the machine fails, Nintendo is screwed while Valve is completely unaffected. If the machine succeeds against all odds, Nintendo makes Valve rich. So Nintendo might as well do their own thing and make themselves rich. Shouldn't be hard to understand, you simpleton. |
Can you tone down the insults please? If Nintendo sell a ,aside amount of consoles that sell nintendo software, it's hardly a loss for nintendo. Especially when their games would have a massive install base. The valve games would make them zero profit, but 3rd party games currently make the zero profit, and the lack of 3rd party games means people won't buy their consoles. If this idea failed it would affect valve as their biggest producer of hardware for their hopeful new venture, steam OS, would have failed, thus dragging them down.
