It's not 'obvious' because you base it on way to much assumptions.
New Zelda will definitely launch on Wii U. There is some chance it will also be on NX, but I still seriously doubt it. Nintendo delays games all the time. Doesn't have to be anything more. For all we know they just skip E3 because it was supposed to be playable this year, but they feel it's not ready for that yet.
