3DS will likely will likely be well past due by 2016 ... if NX is a multiple hardware brand, then sure, why wouldn't there be a new NX portable in 2016?

Feb 2011-Feb 2016 = 5 years. 

Meaning 3DS will be well past due for an upgrade after any point after Feb 2016. 

But they just launched the new 3ds, surely they didn't do so just to release xenoblade??? the new 3ds has to be for front handheld for at least all of 2016, with a New 3ds metroid, a New 3ds pokemon and maybe a New 3ds mario game.

And I'm not sold that NX is purely the next gen handheld for Nintendo. Hybrid at best
