He proved another Christian was a hypocrite and not following the seven sins properly because of gluttony.

You are reading quite a bit into this mans thought process from less than a minute of video ... not obvious at all in my opinion

He was using the irony for humor, which is why the christians thought they were being mocked. They weren't incorrect, but they were also being showed for being either self-loathing or hypocrites.
