You say it's impossible to tell how much it would sell then go on to say it would sell 1-2 million. Where the hell do you get those numbers from? Where's the "evidence" that it would sell even that much?

It doesn't matter anyways since it's not coming to Wii U and I see no point in arguing about imaginary numbers.

It's redundant to port it to a system with the same audience (essentially asking them to buy it twice). You'd at least be expanding your audience with Wii U rather than feeding on your own market.
