I mean, it's a 3DS so it automatically doesn't suck but it's got a lot of shortcomings. I actually think I'll be using my old tiny original 3DS and Circle Pad Pro for certain games (was hoping I could sell it....). Why?
- The analog nipple is trash. I tried to play Ironfall, MGS3, and Resident Evil Revelaitons and using that thing to aim is an impossible task. Nowhere near as precise as the CPP. As a camera control, it's decent and most games aren't effected either way but I was so excited for this option. Total disappointment.
- Can't switch ZL and ZR with L and R. So, not only is aiming a chore, the buttons designated for firing or zooming in are super tough to reach and not intuitive at all.
- Resolution is crap. I wasn't expecting HD or anything but I got the XL and the games just aren't up to today's standards when it comes to mobile devices. 3D is better than ever but damn. PSP seems sharper.
-Battery is still shit.
I don't regret the purchase and I will be spending time with it (Majora's Mask on the go? Yes!!) but Nintendo really should have knocked this one out of the park.
