Are we still talking about Okami? Because that's a pretty crappy first week.

finally someone sees the light.

I could give reasons for it, but everyone is talking about Final Fantasy so I see no need too. I guess I'll let people believe that it's a good opening when it's clearly not. After all, Okami is only a port, it's not supposed to sell well, right? Oh wait (looks at RE4).

Eh, it's more of a perception problem than anything. RE4 isn't the norm, it's the exception.

Well, some people earlier were saying that Wii owners don't mind ports as long as they're good. And then back when Rock Band Wii was announced, people say that it would sell despite being crappy because it's a casual game that Wii owners would love. Perhaps these are all different people saying these things, but I don't like being told two different things.

Don't mind a game is not the same thing as thinking a game will sell. Some gamers do mind Mario & Sonic Olympics, but they know the game is a hit.

So you are being told different things, but in the context of different situations, not being told contradictory things.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
