SNES had one Metroid game that was damn good(and this is coming from a guy who isnt a huge fan) the GB one sucked. And then we went a whole gen without a Metroid, Then it was brought back as an FPS style thing, which now its being judged with the Halos of the world, not hard to wonder why its not putting up the numbers. |
I agree. This has to play into it. There are many people that love 2D. But many that love FPS. Which ever you pick, you lose one camp. Plus, the large gaps do cause problems. I gave up on Donkey Kong, since 64. And I know Tropical is a good game. But I ignore the series thanks to the bongo games. I got use to not looking at DK anymore.
