i wouldnt expect nintendo NX to be launched before 2017, and even maybe nintendo could decide to release it even later like in 2018 due to their bad experience with the wii u. Nintendo knows that the reason they wii u didnt sell well from the biggining is due to the lack of good launch title games, the gamepad concept being difficult to promote must of the audience and maybe the conservative power of the wii u(400 to 500 gigaflops). So seems natural that iwata will this time be more cautious and will release the new console until the time is right since right now nothing can stop the ps4(their marketing is to strong) and releasing a new console before the ps4 sales start to dwindle would be like the mistake sega did with the dreamcast. the right time to release a new console is when the current generation starts to slow down and people are ready for something new
