Well its not like Nintendo hasn't outsourced their ip to other developers other than that. Capcom developed Zelda titles for Gameboy Color and Gameboy Advance, Sega developed F-Zero on Gamecube, Namco developed Star Fox on Gamecube and Heavily assisted on the most recent Smash Bros, Koei-Tecmo was able to make two crossover games based on Nintendo ip, Pokemon Conquest & Hyrule Warriors so Nintendo does have a pretty good history of lending out their ip.

Capcom, Namco and Sega aren't retards in game making. Philips is. And any other potential new people could repeat that. That's all I worry about. So this keeps them in check.
