You'll still need 1. The phone games will be small spin offs type of  games, maybe companion games and apps to the 'main' games. 

The main titles will remain handheld/console exclusive for sure, they're not abandoning their dedicated gaming system.

Expect Pokemon shuffle, no 'true' pokemon game 

You don't know that. For all we know the main Pokemon games can a home on smartphones. It's not a game get requires intricate controls.
