They wouldnt have anywhere near the same content, services, features and multiscreen/device options that I can have. This sums things up well for the US. http://gizmodo.com/what-it-will-really-cost-to-ditch-cable-for-a-la-carte-1691936269 |
It's almost sad how much better Sky is... As well as having all the channels, it has a good UI, great on demand features, great search features, great use of mobile apps. The only thing is struggles on is the price...

I tried this to see what services I would need, if I lived in America, I'd basically need all of them. And it's not like they provide great quality to go with the prices. PS Vue is only 720p, I prefer my 4k Netflix*.
I'm not sure I do want fully a-la-carte, as then I'd never try different channels. There are 3 or 4 channels in the UK where I basically only watch 1 TV series a year and I'm not sure I'd pay just for that one show. It basically just makes it much harder for new chanels to grow or emerge
* Okay, my 4k Breaking Bad repeats and Better Call Saul. But more is coming!
