There was a time not long ago Microsoft was king in the market. Look what happened at E3 2013. It'd be idiotic and catasrophic.

Microsoft has never been king of the market. They only served to gain half of the numbers of Sony's marketshare previously. They just exposed Sony's weaknesses last gen which caused them to be in second until Sony caught up to them again. If they were truly that dominant Sony would never have caught up. This is exactly the reason why Sony doesnt need a year head start(like Microsoft) to  beat Microsoft to beat their main competition. They beat Microsoft head to head based on one month of separation. When its head to head Sony more often than not will be chosen compared.

Sony should not fear the Microsoft of yesteryear. When it comes to the hearts and minds of actual gamers who watch E3, they should worry about Phil Spencer. A guy who is actually bringing the value of games back into the forefront for MS since Shane Kim.
