It has a good shot to do so. If last November was any indication, should the Xbox One match the sales or even surpass them, then taking back the US could happen. However, keeping within line of the PS4 sales from Jan- October is just as important. Should Microsoft achieve this, the One has the ability to do so. Otherwise, if it cannot keep competitive with the PS4 in those months, then it will be very difficult to achieve; even with 'Galaxy Busting' November months.

I don't see this happening. By October this year, there should be a PS4  lead of over 1.2M. 200k more than what it was by the same time last year. for the XB1 to take the lead in NA, then it has to sell 600k+ more than the PS4 in both November and December. Just don't see how that is remotely possible.

It doesn't even stand to sell garner as much if a gap this year if Sony actually trys to compete this time and drops its price.

Hence why I said keeping in line with the PS4 sales from Jan-Oct. is just as important. If they cannot achieve this, then they will not catch up.

In addition, who would have thought a console could sell that many in a month? In addition, who's to say that cannot happen again; especially since Guardians and Black Ops III will command huge sales since both franchises have very big install bases. On top of that, look how price cut happy Microsoft was during last year. A Guardians bundle with a free game certainly isn't out of the question.
