Nintendio has done a good thing here in the long run. The concern from fans is due to the concern that resources will be taken away from other projects for this, thus reducing the quality and output on their consoles potentially. Ofcourse the stock was going to go up, it'll make Nintendo more money. But until they can show to the fans that their actual output will not be altered on their main consoles, it's only logical that people would be concerned.
What this boils down to is an overreaction from the Internet. But I'm not surprised.
