Nintendo used to have 100% of the handheld market, now they lost 1/3 of that business to Sony's PSP.

Nintendo Wii is doing pretty good on the living room consoles market with close to 45% but it's nowhere close to what the PS2 did/is still doing.

Also, Wii's lifetime is most likely going to be shorter than 360 and PS3 due to it's non-HD characteristics so Nintendo will have to migrate a lot of "casual" users into a new console. It will not be an easy task for Nintendo.

it's only at 45% now due to supply constraints...it'll be easily over 60% in 2 years...and it will outsell the ps2 as it's expanding the market, so it will do better than ps2

the winning console always has the longest lifetime...360/ps3 will have to release new ones after 5 years in order to compete by adding motion/ir controls...wii will keep selling even for a long long time after wii2 comes out as many casuals/non-gamers still won't care about hd graphics

those who think ps3 will actually be on the market for close to 10 years before ps4 comes out have drunk the kool-aid by the gallon
