A scenario when Wii U sell +5 million this year.

I mean they are likely to sell 3 million this year if no price cut happens, that's what I meant by regardless. Also the OP said 5 million with a $150 price cut, I'm saying if it takes that huge of a cut to increase sales by 2 million then it's simply not worth dropping the price so low. And Nintendo would certainly be losing alot money on Wii U if they cut the price in half this year.

so far, wii u seems to be up yoy without any noticeable releases. that by itself means it's likely to sell 4.2m+ with no pricecut and no major boost from any game. that's the main math issue.

$149 would make them lose money. $199 with no game wouldn't.
