If anyone remembers, last year Nintendo closed their European headquarters in Großostheim, and moved it to Frankfurt. They admitted that the relocation will probably cause some delay. Of course they wanted to get Smash U done in time, so Captain Toad and Kirby got the short end of the stick. It makes sense, they are budget titles after all, and Kirby isn't even that popular in Europe.

Nevertheless, Captain Toad was originally set to release on January 9, but was moved to January 2, and even December in some stores. Kirby was originally planned for the 2nd half of 2015, but is now May 8. They're working really hard to make up for the delays. I think Splatoon will make it in time. I have no worries.
