I think we the 1st gen 8 exclusive CoD launches we will see the hype back (which I think is why people think CoD is down because the hype train is more quiet) like it was for MW2.

Another factor is also the fatigue of gen 7 and gen 8 that hadn't really start yet.

It also launched against the monstrosity that is GTA 5 which targets much of the same crowd. It could be why it started slower but had better legs (% wise) than CoD usually does.
