I'd actively prefer a more imactful game world. I'm definitely not in the minority. I can't imagine a situation where the majority of fans wouldn't want every town to be a deep as Termina, which is literally the pinacle of towns in Zelda, and all of gaming, regardless of scale. This is not Skyrim, this is Zelda. It's not the franchise to shallowly make the game bigger just for the sake of it. That should bleed into the town design. 60 NPCs per town feels like unneeded overkill to me.

Your right this is zelda and it needs to catch up with it's competitors, Nintendo knows this thats why they are creating a huge open world, non linear game and presumably the towns and villages will match the scope of the world. I reall y doubt that you will like Zelda U.

These are elements of RPG games. Zelda isn't a RPG and was never trying to be one (except maybe Zelda II).

I may be wrong but Zelda is more of a blend between the action adventure and dungeon crawling genre with an overworld that the player can freely roam.

Your ideas might be suitable for RPGs like Pokemon and Fire Emblem, but defintely not necessary for Zelda.
