As someone who has never held even a passing interest in the franchise, I have to say that this has tempted me enough to bite the bullet and buy it. SMT x FE, as well as the newest Persona 5 trailer, has got me interested enough in both series to try it out. Seems like the perfect time. With any luck, a similar sale will happen for Fire Emblem Awakening to tempt me into buying my first foray into that franchise as well. |
Do note that mainline SMT's are much more niche than the Persona series even, and have an aquired taste. Expect a very old school JRPG with long dungeons. Don't expect the humor and light-heartedness of Persona. Expect something much more serious in tone. Also expect a much harder game. For this game especially, the tutorial is the hardest part. Just wanted to give you a heads up since SMT is a very different type of game from SMT: Persona (starting from three up.)
