Simply put, its easier to do on xbo, and needs to be added manually (currently) on ps4 so when multiplatform games are done these things get overlooked then patched later if theres a big enough outcry. The good news is, there are tickets up with the ice team to add anistropic profiles to sdk level so multiplat engines can lock to the same across platforms. |
This is strange. Because trilinear I wouldn't call a good choice for default setting, tbh. Not implementing it at SDK level is even more weird.
