They didn't... Did they? !!

"Xbox One’s fan base continues to grow with record February sales in the U.S. for Xbox One and 84 percent more consoles sold compared to January 2015."

They never specified if this is XBO consoles sold, XB360 consoles sold, or XBO + XB360 consoles sold.  Seeing how they have combined XBO + XB360 sales together in the past, I think we shouldn't act so hastily with the 276k number...

No. They DID specify. They were referring to X1.

I think it's pretty obvious, considering they specifically mentioned X1's fan base without once mentioning 360, and with no mention of "Xbox family".

I think you can probably take that number to the bank.

It actually is not cut and dry like you make it out to be.  They dont have to mention Xbox family or even mention 360 because "more consoles sold" could include 360 in there as well.  You and I both know they have combined XBO and XB360 in the past, so it isn't out of the question.

Watch...I can change one word in their statement to show you what would be XBO consoles sold for sure:

"Xbox One’s fan base continues to grow with record February sales in the U.S. for Xbox One [with] 84 percent more consoles sold compared to January 2015."

Now lets seperate their statement:

"Xbox One’s fan base continues to grow with record February sales in the U.S. for Xbox One." "[There are] 84 percent more consoles sold compared to January 2015."

See?
