Apple has been a premium brand and increasingly is becoming a luxury brand. This does not fit Nintendo at all. So whatever happens to Nintendo I cannot see Apple buying Nintendo happening.
Else-wise Nintendo still has plenty of money. It will take more than two gens worth of failures to force them to radically change or get acquired.
