I hope so too, its definitely got my sale. Already paid for it on PSN for NY day 0 (-2) download. And a friend of mine that is a die hard souls fan just ordered a PS4 off amazon. Not gonna lie was envious of him getting 3 free games that I paid for in full :(

I'm guessing Bloodborne does 3M worldwide in its first year.

That will entirely depend on the PC crowd. The core console fanbase is no where near large enough to get Bloodborne to 3 million. How many Souls fans on PC are going to get a PS4 just for this game? I suspect it will be fewer than some might think. PC Souls fans are possibly as much hardcore PC gaming fans as they are Souls fans. They will also be believing that From will eventually put out a 3rd multiplat actual Souls game and that Bloodborne is just a temporary sidetrack. Some will hopelessly hope that Bloodborne will eventually get a PC port.

I think Bloodborne LTD is good for ~ 2 million from core PS3 fans (the people who made Demon's Souls and Dark Souls a success), I think converts from 360 are good for about 250K, and PC fans are good for about 500K. +/- 100K from each source and 3 million LTD is possible, but doubtful in the first year. Inparticular I think a lot of PC fans will hold out until 2016 hoping that maybe a PC port might be announced end of this year or early next year. They might cave in by holiday 2016 in the absence of any multiplat news by that time.

There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth if From announces a PC port in 2017, which won't happen IMO, but just saying if it did happen that long after release plenty of PC fans would be pissed at being duped into buying a PS4.

Bloodborne seems to be attracting some actions fans as well though, who think this game is like God of War/Devil may Cry, etc.

They might be disappointed (or pleasantly surprised), but either way, it's more sales for the game.lol
