A new game is not an AAA title until it produces the AAA requirements.

An AAA-title is to my knowledge defined through it's budget. So a game can be AAA, even it get's scrapped in development. Anyways, I don't give too much about this, as everyone decides for themself how much is a big budget. They should give numbers, how much is invested.

People use it as a term for system seller though. Regardless of what it originally meant.

 

I responded this to someone who responded to me with almost the exact same thing. Yes I know it is defined through budget accordingly, but it is becoming a term for system seller and high selling game.
