Little known fact is that "FFXV" is Japanese code for "gay road trip". Hence why they had to change the title.

Well four beautiful and well dressed guys going on a raod trip with no girls travelling with them does raise a few flags.  I actually thought at least one of them would be gay.  But I doubt if SquareEnix would pull off something like that.

Has there ever been gay main characters in an rpg before, jrpg or wrpg without a character creation one of course.

Honestly it would be a pleasant suprise if instead of making the characters just LOOK gay that one of them really WAS gay lol.

Gay Characters in FF Series

Vaan-Never explicitly stated, jsut alluded to with outfit. The fact that Panello was always throwing her cat at him and he never gave her the time of day. He also hero worships both Balthier and Basch(what a MAN!) with lustful eyes imo.

Barret-not only the first black character but first gay one. On several occasions the game allows you to flirt or alude to being in a relationship with Barret, something that is seen as funny because Barrett is so hyper masculine so he has to be over compensating. Then there is the whole thing of taking care of the love child of his "friend" Dyne who he harps on quite a lot.

Fang and Vanille- come on, the has been the most obvious one in years. The Fal'Cie basically blackmailed them both into doing what they wanted because they knew their love for one another would make them do anything to save the other. Similar to how it used Sahz's fatherly love against him.
