I never paid attention to Fire Emblem so i have no idea what DLC tactics they used on that game. But I can say that the only game I have seen them use shitty practices on is Mario Golf. Which had more than half the game locked in DLC at Launch. Other than that, I really don't think they have done bad practices. Though Mario Golf had Day 1 DLC, they were not game locked.. You had to download the DLC from the eShop.

That was a bit confusing that they made them download. It was pretty evident that atleast most of them were done by the time they printed the games. I guess they wanted to avoid the anger of on disc DLC practise. They sadly had to use up our blocks. Which wouldn't matter for me though, I have 16GB to use. I do have the game, but I'm not very impressed, so I don't see any DLC in my future.

Yeah, I used to be strongly against DLC, but now, I find it okay.

However, Day 1 DLC really irritates me since basically they are saying: 'you can buy a semicomplete game for full price.. Even though we have completed this additional content already before launch, you have to buy it for more"

Day 1 DLC shows that they are truly trying to squeeze as much money as possible
