Bold prediction for the x1. Fair play!

But why bold!?

Even if Wii U will sell 15,000,000, and imo is seriusly low, i don't see XBO to break 45,000,000.

It have sold around 7,500,000 in the first year, as the other microsoft console, in the second year don't will increase by a lot, probabily will sell less than 8,000,000, and the 2015 will probabily be a peak year, and after the sales will dropped lika a rock...

2013: 3,000,000 (3m)

2014: 7,500,000 (10.5m)

2015: 7,900,000 (18.4m)

2016: 6,300,000 (24.7m)

2017: 4,500,000 (29.2m)

2018: 2,200,000 (31.4m)

New XBOX coming in 2018, and it will crush the XBO sales... 32,000,000/33,000,000 LT.

That is sure more accurabile than 60/70 million.

Hmmm, you only expect Xbox to only be up 400k despite the overwhelmingly better line up this year and the fact that its alread tracking ahead?

I personally think it will sell 7m alone between september and Jan.

Also don't see 2016 being down, it should instead be riding off the big  Q3/4 lineup of massive next gen only titles like starwars, halo 5, The Devision etc plus a mainstream price of sub $299, take into account  all 360 and PS3 support will likely be abandoned for everything but FIfa. I simply don't see the Xbox peaking prior to an actual next gen GTA, Elderscrolls, Call of Duty title or whatever else the next big thing is. None of which I see happening before 2016, I mean we won't even have a Mass Effect then (not that its as big as the other titles).

I do agree though that Microsoft will be quick to release their next console and that will kill X1 early. X1 has a relatively low roof in terms of sales (compared to 360, PS3, PS4) and MS won't flog it past 2017 when they could instead be getting a 1/2 headstart over PS5 and establishing themselves as the lead console in 2018. As long as they don't do any more damage to their brand, core gamers won't be able to ignore their next console if there is no other competition out and PS4 is severely showing its age.

Anyway we will just have to wait and see.
