("REALITY" is not real) "But if you try to get people to walk around in 3D and rotate the camera, that creates a serious issue" (moving your body with your fingers) " He said that we can use a swivel chair so people can rotate without having to stand up and walk " (more problems with movinng in a virtual world) "In the end, you might as well use motion to throw the ball and the people create the image of throwing the ball perfectly, in their head. It's really difficult to use the 3D positional tracking." (most people really suck at hand–eye coordination) |
And it'll be very cool to see the solutions that developers come up with. This reminds me of the PS1/N64 gen when developers were first exploring how to navigate and control a character in 3D space in a video game. We got some pretty cool new games and experiences from those initial experiments.
Now we've got a similar issue but with actual physical 3D movement thrown into the mix.
