Open-World games are taking over the industry, but do you like this trend?

I play 1.5 hours every few days, and with open-world games it just gets me nowhere, I start to forget what the game was about by the end of second week. I'll probably wait for MGS5 and abandon AAA gaming for good, they have more money than ways to use them.
