It wont. Why? Because it would be a strain on the battery life (seeing as how it will probably keep the dual screen thing they've been doing for a decade), it would require a faster, more powerful soc (another battery drain), and honestly, as long as people get their Pokemon and Zelda, I don't think they care. I know I don't. Also, the price has to stay reasonable. We all know what happened to the Vita.
Oh and, they'll have no competition (I doubt Sony makes another portable) so they won't have to up the hardware too much. Smartphones can't replace a dedicated handheld so I can see Nintendo not breaking the bank on things like a needless HD screen.
