why do people just mention "in the NA" come on now, look at the world picture

Which, IMO, favors the 360 even more. The PS3 is very shooter-heavy this Christmas season while the 360 has L4D & GeoW2. The 360 also has Banjo and Fable, which should be at least moderate successes in Europe. The PS3 has LBP, which should get a few people excited about the console but that game is a huge wildcard at this point.

Is there some big Euro-centric or Japanese-centric game that I'm missing for the PS3? I keep looking at that lineup and seeing a bunch of shooters and LBP. That doesn't exactly cater to non-NA gaming tastes.

Final Fantasy XIII coud come out in Japan this year, and MotorStorm isn't a shooter is it?  And it's sold extremely well, in OTHERS where it's not  bundled (1.5 mil according to VGC).

I think that the PS3 has a very nice holiday line-up aside from shooters.  You've also failed to mention a possible Uncharted 2, which has sold it's best in Europe also, and FFXIII which will sell awesome in Japan.

But the 360 does have a good holiday line-up this year.  I am totally excited about Fable, and Gears 2, but LBP could be very big.  I don't think it will bomb, but I think this could be huge, especially in Others.

I mentioned earlier that LBP is a huge wildcard. It's impossible to judge how that game is going to do. A lot of factors will combine to make that a success or failure.

No way does FFXIII release this year anywhere. I think SE themselves have come out and said that it's going to be 2009 but I don't have time to check right now. Uncharted 2? No way. A one year turnaround for a game is unheard of in this generation unless it's casual or simply new content (Guitar Hero) on the old interface.

Are you sure that Motorstorm was never bundled in Europe? I could have sworn there was a R:FoM/Motorstorm bundle in Europe but I could be wrong.

There was, but it was not in every country, and in most places you got a choice of 6 games or so (of which those two were the best) and also look at Insomniac for turn arount times
