Gamecube was equivilent to the Xbox, Some devs say better Some say worse

The Wii is approximately 1.5 to 2.5 times as strong as the Gamecube - Hence the Wii is Stronger than the Xbox.

Lets go back to the first point, where detracters say the Wii is only as strong as the Xbox.

Lets assume they are correct.

The XBOX, was capable of HD, and if the wii is as strong as the XBOX, it is capable of it as well.

 

We WILL see games in 720p on the wii before this generation is up, just like we saw games in 720P on the XBOX

 

Thank you. They call that kind of crap FUD. Someone wants to derail this runaway train called Wii.

First of all we really haven't seen the full power of the Gamecube because the system wasn't as successful. Successful systems get the best of their abilities maxed out before going into obsolesence.

Wii is obviously much stronger than the GC and at least 1/2 as strong as the PS3 & XBox 360. They look too much at the components and forget it's how the architecture works together along with the skill of the programmer that make games do what they do.

I can't wait to see the looks on people's faces when Wii ALSO puts out graphical tours-de-force like the competition on a supposedly technologically outdated system.

The graphics were good enough in the 6th, the 7th only refines what was already done. None of this matters to me. I like the visuals of the Wii and even the PS2. I went to my friend's house to see Tekken 5 and it looked vivid to me. As long as everything looks like it's supposed to and distinction between objects and backgrounds are well done it's good. The rest is just bonus.

I just wanna see these types eat their words when Wii too gives 'em those super graphics they love so much. Irony.
