It seems that you want these forums so you can invite your friends, and exclude everyone else. Hence why there were rules, no spammers, no people who don't agree with my point of view, no people under 1000 posts even if they provide better insight than those with 2000+ and have been here longer, and only if I say so. Those kind of rules just say, "I want an elite board for all the 'cool' people".

You nailed it with your description. I have always found the people who run such clubs, groups, or boards to be power hungry immature elitist idiots.

God if I wasn't a mod I would respond to that with a flame... oh well...

anyways, there could always be exceptions to the rules. Plus the section would be for mature or abstract discussions that wouldnt be suited for kids like Joel. The section wasn't barring anyone with some form of e-social status.

so you mean there is "better" members and then there is trash like J-Lo and soriku? Nice. I mean, you just insulted 99% of vgchartz community.

Care for a Benkenobi? It would be the honorable thing to do.

You must go insane at restruants with dress codes. And I'm sorry but yeah most people don't like to hang around people who throw tantrums of the most riddicules things.

And nobody thinks they are trash. Just sometimes you would prefer to see a rated R movie over a PG13 so you don't have to deal with kids going crazy. I know I wish some horror movies like the grudge were rated R, seeing those things at theater can be difficult with teeny boppes screaming and yelling like idiots.

And how did he just insult 99% of the community?

Umm obviously your comparison is missing something. It would be like a restaurant with a dress code in which you're still refused even if you wore the proper attire because someone there doesn't think you're worthy enough (in this case though it's not the owner but rather another customer eating there).

Actually come to think of it, it's similar to the YouTube video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plQpLPy1eao

Of course it's not racism like in that video (that'll go over some people's heads and they'll bring that up) it's more the core idea behind it.
