Sure, my point was that the DS has some pretty nice 2D games as well. If I wanted to make a comparison to the GBA I would've posted Shantae screens from the GBA. 

 

Can you do Heartgold/Soulsilver? Those were pretty DS games imo, but I haven't seen them in a while.
