Another monopolized generation, that´s very possitive for the game industry. Or maybe not.

The message that the industry is getting now is very sad, we don´t need new good games, we don´t need to be honest, we don´t need to be different, we don´t need good exlusives, we only need hype, marketing and numbers to sell whatever we want.

Btw, congratulation for that numbers, is really a big achievement.

But the PS4 has good games and a reputation of delivering good games.  The Order is heavily underrated by the press (game is good, not great), Infamous was a good to great open world game, LBP3 was every bit as good as the previous games, Final Fantasy XIV was a huge 3rd party grab, and the PS4 had decent games at launch compared to consoles of past (as did X1), and it has the best HW to run 3rd party gamed outside of PC.  The only bomb Sony really put out was Driveclub, which is a competent racer with nothing special aside from graphics (horrid launch though).

While hype has played a factor, it is still very much games and reputation pushing the PS4 as well.  Lets also not forget how the competition dropped the ball.
