Well actually PS4 destroyed Wii U for sales in Japan and everything else worldwide in 2014, because PS4 sold 14,020,685 between the 4th Jan 2014 to the 3rd of 2014, 3DS did 9,687,334, so PS4 sold 4,333,351 more globally than even the 3DS, it outsold every other console by an even bigger margin, that would be the definition of destroying everything else within the same time period.

PS4 is up, sales are increasing, which is what the numbers show and as I stated all of those games I mentioned are on their way in the next few weeks, there's also plenty of other games coming out this year, way more than the Wii U has incoming in Japan.

Dragon Quest Heroes is still a DQ game, it'll have sustained sales and a good boost at the beginning.

I'm ignoring nothing, VGChartz has PS4 at 1,089,117 for 51 weeks of sales, with the 52nd not being published yet, it sold 319,689 at launch in Japan, that means it's done 769,428 for 50 weeks of sales, the sales for the 15th to the 21st of Feb aren't yet known, but you're still majorly low-balling the figures to suit your agenda. The system has sold more than it did at launch throughout the rest of it's sales time, so I don't get your point.

The games we know about that are coming for Wii U aren't really huge sellers in Japan, not like Final Fantasy XV could be and it's seeming more and more likely that game is coming out this year.

Metal Gear 5 is coming out September 1st, I obviously mentioned all of those games coming in the next few weeks, GT7 will probably end up a 2015 release, Level 5 has a PS4 exclusive in development that they're going to announce at E3, which could very well come out in 2015 or at least release within the PS4's 2nd year in Japan.

Dragon's Dogma Online, Deep Down, Let it Die, overall there's a lot more games coming to PS4 for Japan, that add up to a likely far bigger sales boost than you're giving them credit for. PS4 will sell more than 2.2M in Japan this year, simply by virtue the games that are confirmed for Japan.

The fact the PS4 has been doing as well as it has, selling 3X the amount most weeks in Japan compared to Wii U only supports that sales will sky rocket when the games suited to the market start releasing over there, we have confirmed release dates for a load of games and it's known more are definitely coming out over there this year and as is customary for Playstation once that starts happening it doesn't stop throughout the whole generation.

It's not like PS4 has one or two games confirmed and there will be months of drought in games releases in Japan, it's constant throughout this year and that isn't going to end with what we currently have confirmed, more will be confirmed later.

If you think Wii U is going to surpass PS4 in sales in Japan, you haven't looked at the facts.

Again, Ps4 sales didn't destroy anything in japan, it's the lowest selling console since dreamcast and ps3 (I'm not counting xbox consoles).

Launch week aside, Wii U sold 1.3 million in 56-57 weeks, ps4 will have done around 950k on the same period.

DQ heroes will be hugely front loaded, like any dinasty warriors. Don't expect much more than 300k ltd for the ps4 version.

"The fact the PS4 has been doing as well as it has, selling 3X the amount most weeks in Japan compared to Wii U only supports that sales will sky rocket when the games suited to the market start releasing over there"

Except that ps4's current sales are already a response to your "when games suited to the market release" while wii u is in a low period.

"If you think Wii U is going to surpass PS4 in sales in Japan, you haven't looked at the facts."

Ps4 is the one that has to surpass wii u, since it's a lot behind. If you're talking weekly, it's pretty obvious that wii u will sell more than ps4 eventualy.

PS4 destroyed Wii U last year, PS4 destroyed all platforms in Japan last year, even the 3DS, that's what the numbers proved.

We haven't yet had PS4's 56th-57th week numbers yet, you don't know what it will sell, if anything the fact it has so many games coming within that amount of time, DQH (released 26th Feb 2015) is a game coming out in that time and according to you it's numbers will be very front loaded, so it will have some effect on PS4's numbers, probably a pretty decent effect.

PS4 can and probably will easily sell more than 1.3M by the end of that 57 week sales period, but you won't agree with that because Wii U is your preference of system. PS4 doesn't just have DQH, although it doesn't just look like a Dynasty Warriors clone, there's a lot more too it than that.

The whole point of my "when games suited to the market" point is that PS4 has new games, a lot of new games incoming right now and for the forseeable future, the Wii U doesn't, Wii U has a few here and there, but nothing like the PS4 is getting, even for the rest of the year, compared to the next few months on PS4. PS4 numbers I'm talking about though are based on before DQH and the slew of PS4 games were coming, DQH comes out on the 26th of Feb, VG's numbers are for the 14th or prior to that, so really it's not heated up on PS4 yet, but will when those games start to land, basically the baseline is 3X greater than Wii U's numbers.

PS4 has sold 1/2 of Wii U's numbers in less than half of the time, with a weaker line-up and is just about to start getting the good games for the japanese market, it's downright clear that the ball is in PS4's court, it's going to sell a hell of a lot more than the Wii U when 3rd party and exclusives start to land on the system, which has already started to happen, we should start getting those number soon.

We've had numbers up to the 14th of Feb, the next is the week ending the 21st (which we don't have yet), the following week ends the 28th, that will show how well DQH sold. From then on there are regular releases, which should have a continuous snowball effect, because the library for the market is building.

It's going to be impossible for the Wii U to sell more, especially without 3rd party, especially those games suited to that market. I really can't see why you would think only having exclusives would cause that much of a rise, especially when PS4 has been selling so much on weeks when there's very little new stuff out, but whatever think what you will.
