It would make the player hardcore, in regards to the whole Hardcore/Casual thing the mistake people make is that they believe the illusionary definitions the industry throws out, being someone who started gaming in the 80s my view is that hardcore players are people who'd put loads of hours into any game, these are the people who've played their preferred game to death that they know the ins and outs of it, these guys are the speed runners, the combo specialists in action or fighting games, the grandmasters/ladder kings in RTS games etc... A player who plays many different games is not necessarily a hardcore player but and avid gamer, someone who is informed and games in a more wider spectrum, a casual player is just someone who games on a lighter note.
The type of game a person plays doesn't determine what type of gamer they are, that's the big misconception now days.
