I think there are a lot of factors, many of them the fault of third parties, and saying "Nintendo should do something about it" makes it seem like a much simpler problem with a much simpler solution than in reality. The truth is, there is no simple fix and power is only a small part of the problem...

That's why:

Nintendo fusion would be great if you don't have third party games, because you can play every Nintendo game on one console. That would stop the giant draught. Problem solved.
