and yet the 360 was a lower price point by this point in its life. IF PS4 has as much time to sell (big if but certainly a possibility that must be taken into account) it can easily have a slower burn of price cuts keeping its sales just as high as things get long in the tooth. The PS4 is designed in a way that gets costs down quick. The basic parts will be able to make it $99 by the time 360 was still $199 for a 12gb model. Now whether Sony just wants to reap the profits on hardware or if they want to make money on more and more install base (software and PS+) will be a determining factor. But to discount this entirely is foolish.
