Persona 4 Golden is best selling retail game with 0.87 million sold according to VGC. It's kind of similar to Xenoblade in that respect. A critically acclaimed game with decent sales, but many believe will do much better than their predeccesor and because of that lofty predictions are being made.

While I do feel that Persona 5 and XCX will likely end up being the best-selling entries in their franchises, you're right. They aren't going to be enormous in terms of sales like Pokemon, Monster Hunter or Youkai Watch would be. Especially given that console gaming has all but deteriorated in that region. The west must pull its weight this time around if they are to break 1m.
