Freak shows attract a crowd as well.
When everything is fine and dandy, there isn't much to discuss. But when an iconic gaming company makes odd and questionable business decisions, not doing as well as they were in the last gen. etc. its obvious why people want to talk about how to fix things. The other 2 companies for the most part, satisfy their fanbase so all that's left is the tiresome console war talk.
