I think most people are basing their opinions off movies, shows, cartoons...and not the actual comic book heroes themselves...
Its like, Whos more of a badass, Batman 4 Bruce Wayne, or Superman Returns Clark Kent...
or:
Smallville's Clark Kent (Tom Welling), or The Dark Knight's Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale)...
So I think it depends of who people are thinking of when you say 'Batman'...I'm thinking of the Comic Books, and I pick Superman :)
